Our Lead Instructor

Chris Cannon is an active K-9 handler with a sheriff’s office in Kentucky, with over twenty years of experience training and working dogs. His career has taken him from working with the most challenging dogs to instructing K9 teams across agencies, always with one goal: building reliable, defensible teams that perform under real-world pressure.

With a background in high-stakes law enforcement and specialized canine behavioral studies, Chris brings a rare mix of street-tested experience and deep behavioral insight to every team he works with. He designs training that not only sharpens deployment performance but also reduces liability by aligning real-world scenarios with sound behavioral principles. By focusing on how dogs actually learn and perform under pressure, Chris helps agencies build K9 units that are stable, predictable, and operationally reliable.
